We blow thru a lot of these A-R locks in our thru-the-lock classes.  We buy them new and then do real-feel spinouts and cylinder pulls.  

The threads are usually toast, so spinning in a new cylinder isn't an option, but the latch-mechanism still work just fine....so they're great for training on how to move the latch after the cylinder is removed.  

Some are solid-latch style and some are the hook-latch style, both operate the exact same way and both are familiar to anyone who lays eyes on them.
